Here are pictures of the Mini Olympics (Multiple Events) Weekend in the Township of Casey

Casey Township Recreation Committee hosted their 10th Mini Olympics from July 3rd to July 5th. All activities took part at the Rendez-vous Park in Belle Vallée.

Nine teams participated in different activities such as floor ball, volleyball, baseball, basketball throws, horseshoes, an obstacle course and a team coordination final event.

Teams were awarded points for each activity played (10 in total). Each activity represents a different amount of points that a team can earn, depending on their performance. The team with the most points after the weekend events was declared the winning team.

The top seven teams were awarded prizes donated by Broderie Cérik, Sutton Bay Park, Caisse Populaire (New Liskeard) Ltd., Grant Fuels Inc., Grant Propane Inc., Wilson Chevrolet Ltd., The Caisse Populaire (Earlton) Ltd., Carpet One Floor and Home, Pedersen Construction and the Township of Casey. Cash prizes were also awarded to the three top teams.

While the adults were taking part in the Multiple Events, there were also many organized activities to keep children busy. Friday night was bingo night for them while Saturday offered a penny sale, teams games and a karaoke night for both children and adults. Sunday, all children were able to get their face painted.

The Casey Recreation Committee would like to thank all generous sponsors for donating great prizes for their Mini Olympics (Multiple Events). Thanks to all teams who supported our Mini Olympics by taking part and making this weekend a success.
